Next Generation EU Funded Project

This school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.

This funding was allocated to the purchase of iPads to support all pupils, giving them access to a variety of educational apps that promote engagement, strengthen literacy and numeracy skills, and enable differentiated learning. These devices are used both in mainstream and special education settings to help ensure that every learner can fully access digital learning experiences.

In addition, the grant supported the installation of new interactive smart boards in classrooms, enhancing the quality of teaching and learning by enabling more dynamic, multimedia-based lessons that cater to different learning styles.

Finally, a portion of the grant was used to improve our classroom Wi-Fi infrastructure, ensuring reliable digital connectivity for all learners.
